Saplings Planted in 2021
& Still Counting

The world’s forests have shrunk by three per cent since 1990 with India among the countries losing green cover more rapidly and due to fast urbanization India itself has lost the green cover of approx. 16-20 lakh hectares in two decades. Forests are home to many indigenous species which are critical in order to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. We are striving towards a greener planet with our small-scale regular tree plantation drives. Over the period of 4 months we have planned to plant least 500 trees across India.

Why Project Vriksharopan?

Presently, the global forest cover is one-third less than what it once was and global deforestation continues at 18 million hectares per year. This indiscriminate felling of trees needs to be undertaken on a large scale to reverse the ill effects of deforestation and restore the ecological balance. Due to fast urbanization and industrialization we are neglecting the environmental impact and exploitation the nature unsustainably. We need to take action and save the future generations from the nature’s curse. Deforestation is disturbing the balance of nature and to balance we have to replenish nature.
